The Praetorian Max from Humane Innovations is a full-featured, professional quality dog handling glove designed for working with the most dangerous dogs. The Praetorian series of gloves takes its name from the Roman Praetorian Guard, a body of soldiers known for the strongest defense.

The Praetorian Max was designed to provide good dexterity for tasks, extra padding on the back of the hand, a sacrificial 'bite flap' for assessing bite threshold, and a maximally protective gauntlet for arm protection. If a bite is unavoidable, the arm of this glove is designed to help protect you and disperse the blunt force trauma of big dog bites with a protection level that just does not exist in other gloves. The gauntlet of the glove is made with two layers of cow hide, one of amara leather, foam padding, and a protective plastic sheet.

While the Max model is designed to give you good dexterity, some professional handlers may wish to have a maximum protection glove like the Max on one arm and a glove with more dexterity, such as the Pretorian Standard, on the other arm so that they have more flexibility during handling.

Our handling gloves include thoughtful features such as hanging tabs and size labeling designed to help you keep your equipment organized.
