Most animal related injuries occur on the hands and arms, so handling gloves definitely make us safer. But there are a lot of reasons why gloves make sense. They can lower insurance costs, prevent loss of work, improve confidence, and prevent animals from getting a bite record. 

Please remember: NO GLOVE IS BITE PROOF! Gloves resist bites in direct correlation to their thickness, materials, and dexterity. Generally speaking, the more expensive gloves offer more protection.
